I am so excited to be sharing the first zine to be published by the Butte College Library.
This zine is meant to introduce you to some of the power imbalances in scholarly research. This issue covers a wide range of topics including algorithms, citation bias, and marginalized research.
As this zine circulates, I hope in the future to collaborate more widely with students and others on campus. In the true history of zines, the content within could be described as subversive or not mainstream, but imagine a world where “radical research” is really just “research.”
Thank you for picking this up and taking the time to read! Please get in touch with me about future collaborations!
