Research Guides: Racial Justice and Anti-Racist E-Reading List: E-Books on Racial Justice

In the aftermath of the killing of George Floyd and in a moment of national reckoning around the violence against Black Americans, the Butte College Library has pulled together a reading list on racial justice and anti-racism resources that are available in e-book format. In the May 31st message to campus, Butte College President, Dr. Samia Yaqub states,

"We have a responsibility to educate ourselves on the insidious and pervasive ways that racism, hatred, and bigotry continue to plague our nation, remnants of our nation’s original sin that still lingers oh so many years later."

This reading list is a starting place to find resources that speak to racial justice, racial equity, and anti-racism. This guide is by no means exhaustive and is limited to items that the Butte College Library is able to provide remote access for since the library was closed in 2020. Just click on the link, log in with your MyBC ID, and start reading. Now that the library is open again, there are many more books available.
