There are now dozens of AI tools available for use. Some are free to use, some require a subscription. These tools can summarize information, create images, answer simple or even complex questions. And these tools can be useful when doing research for college-level assignments. 

This guide focuses on using ChatGPT during the research process. What does ChatGPT do well and what is it not so good at? How can you as a student use ChatGPT efficiently and ethically with some of the assignments you might get?
