ENGL 11 (Brock): Get Started

Refer to the original assignment provided in Canvas.  Below are some key points to keep in mind:

First you need to choose an essay.

• The essay must be from a peer-reviewed journal, which can be found on the library databases. Make sure you look for “full text” articles only. (I recommend printing them and then highlighting and marking them up.)
• The article must be at least 10-12 pages. If there are multiple columns on each page, then they need to be at least 7 pages.
• The article must be on some aspect of gender studies. Topics can be: feminism, masculinity, gender identity, LGBTQ+, or a combination of ideology and masculinity. I am not limiting you to these specific topics, but you may want to use these topics as a stating place.
